Vibha Technology is looking for a Structural Stress Analysis Engineer.
You will be part of a self-empowered and highly engaged team who are committed to developing successful airframe solutions, working toward, and developing sustainable green aircraft R&T studies for future aircraft. You will collaborate with other Airbus research teams from across Europe; jointly developing wing technologies with selected industry partners from around the world.
Looking to the future, as aerospace enters a period where air travel is under strong environmental consideration, you will contribute to the design and development of key new technologies supporting the Airbus strategy on sustainability and low emission travel. The Wing R&T are currently working at the forefront of structural engineering advancement across multiple exciting projects looking at innovative design concepts for our Future Wings and then testing them at our new AirTec Centre at Filton.
Responsibilities
- Directing and analysing/validating Wing-Box Static Stress using Airbus methods and tools.
- Ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design concepts, processes, methods, and manufacturing guidelines.
- Detailed milestone and planning in collaboration with the Head of Engineering.
- Integrate Stress activities with all stakeholders, Risk Sharing Partners, and External Engineering Service companies. Performing monitoring/guidance/support of Sub-contracting firms providing structural analysis work.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders, i.e. Programme, Wing Architects, Manufacturing Plant, Procurement, etc.
- Defining, interpreting, and validating test data/requirements, from coupon testing to major full-scale testing.
- Provide structural inputs to enable creative innovative designs and repair/acceptance of damaged structures.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s tools, processes, procedures, and ways of work by reviewing “status quo” and proposing innovative ideas.
- Continuously develop ways of working to enable increased levels of automation, enable digitalization and the use of ‘big data’ to enhance our technical solutions.

Desirable
- Experience in the ISAMI toolset.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
- A good understanding of aircraft production methods and processes.
Salary offered: £30,000 to £50,000 per annum
